It’s Zippy Tip Tuesday!
Ah, the smell of freshly cut lemongrass — there’s nothing like it!
Commonly used in Thai cuisine, lemongrass has a taste that is uniquely different from lemon juice.
But how do you use it in cooking? In this video, I explain how to trim, smash and cut lemongrass to impart its lovely fragrant flavor to your next dish.
And where do you use lemongrass? It can be prepared in anything from soups (like my Thai Ginger Coconut Chicken Soup) to curries and even ice cream (such as my Gingered Carrot Ice Cream)!
Watch on, oh ye lemongrass lovers, watch on:

Mmmm yummy lemongrass! I’ll be trying your soup recipe next week I think. I’ve got a forest of lemongrass saved up in my freezer. I’d like to put it to work before I lose it to freezer burn. 🙂
