Light the fireworks, tune up the marching bands and slap on the red white and blue, because it’s America’s birthday!
Here are a few summertime recipes that are perfect for any 4th of July cookout. Click on each title to get the full recipe –
Blueberry Almond Delight Bites: Golden star-shaped puff pastry is adorned with decadent almond cream and fresh tangy blueberry topping to make a very delightful bite.
Grilled Salmon with Strawberry Rhubarb Salsa: Fresh salmon, cooked to perfection on a cedar plank, is topped with a snappy strawberry rhubarb salsa. The salsa can also be served with chicken or chips.
Strawberry Apricot Swirl Ice Cream: Ribbons of bright fresh strawberry and apricot sauces are swirled in a creamy vanilla base to make this ice cream a tantalizing trip for the tastebuds.
Fresh Corn and Watermelon Salad: Fresh corn, watermelon, edamame and the punch of lime make this salad crisp, bright and the perfect complement to grilled summer fare.
“Melon Man” Cocktail: Ice cold watermelon and ginger beer, along with vodka and melon liqueur, make this refreshing drink a delightful summertime cocktail.
PB & J Caramel Chewies: Crunchy Special K cereal and pretzels are drenched in a chewy peanut butter caramel coating and shaped into a cup that is filled with fresh strawberry jam.
Happy 4th of July!
