It’s Zippy Tip Tuesday!
Up until a couple of years ago, I only bought pineapple in cans.
Sure, I preferred fresh, but it just seemed like it was too much work. If I did buy fresh, it was already cored and peeled for me. But I’m also pretty frugal in my grocery shopping and noticed that it was a lot cheaper to buy a whole pineapple.
So I took the plunge and was amazed how quickly I could peel and core it myself. The rewards? Beautiful golden chunks of fruit that are sweeter, firmer, fresher and CHEAPER than their counterparts.
